Frequently asked questions

  • What is IV therapy and how does it work?

IV therapy delivers a personalized blend of vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and amino acids directly into your bloodstream through a small IV line. Your body can absorb more of each nutrient than it would from a pill or food, because it skips digestion.

A typical Drip Tonic drip takes 45 to 60 minutes, runs through a small line in your forearm, and is administered in your home, hotel, or studio by a Registered Nurse. See the full drip menu →

  • Who is mobile IV therapy for?

Honestly, most healthy adults. Some guests book around a busy season, a wedding, travel, or training. Others come for routine self-care, or simply because they feel like it. Whatever the reason, we meet you there.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition, we recommend speaking with your primary healthcare provider before booking.

  • Who shouldn't get IV therapy?

IV therapy isn't appropriate during pregnancy, if you have kidney or heart conditions that restrict fluids, if you're on certain blood thinners, or if you've had a serious allergic reaction to IV vitamins before.

The supervising Nurse Practitioner reviews every intake and will tell you honestly if a drip isn't right for you, and refunds you in full if your intake isn't approved.

  • What are the risks and side effects?

The most common are minor: a small bruise at the IV site, a cool sensation along the arm during infusion, a brief taste some guests notice, light flushing. Rare risks include vein irritation, infection at the IV site, or an allergic reaction to an ingredient.

Your RN carries a reaction kit on every visit, watches you throughout the infusion, and adjusts the rate or pauses on the spot if anything feels off.

  • Is mobile IV therapy safe?

Yes, when it's delivered the way we deliver it. Every intake is reviewed by a Nurse Practitioner, our blends are pharmacy-prepared, every infusion is administered and monitored by a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and every visit comes with a reaction kit.

  • Do I need a doctor's referral?

No referral required. Our supervising Nurse Practitioner provides the medical direction needed to review and approve each drip based on the intake form you complete during booking.

  • Do I need to fast or prepare before my appointment?

No fasting required. We recommend eating a light meal and drinking water in the hours before your visit. It helps the line place comfortably and the formulation feel smooth.

We believe in transparency, comfort,
and exceptional care, always.
